Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. The result was state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. Alongside her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well contributes to Dateline NBC. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
